Not too long ago, we were able to escape to family property in the woods. I hope to do this many more times in the future. There's something special about seeing a little boy run through the woods.
"To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature. Most persons do not see the sun. At least they have a very superficial seeing. The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Leaving something for the deer to eat:

Rain did not stop these cousins from enjoying their short visit together. I love seeing these two play together!

Ranger Rick and oatmeal make a nice morning :).

Proud of his findings :)

I think this will be a regular tradition - growing our own wheat grass for our Easter baskets!! :)

My little man is almost 6 months-old! He's my constant buddy and I am just enjoying this season of motherhood! He has wanted to be held since the day he was born. For his first two months, Tyson and I would think "there's NO way he'll wake up, let's just carefully set him down." Twenty seconds later....yea, he's back in our arms. I thought he'd never crawl because he was held so much...but he started army crawling at three months! He was doing the full crawl at the end of four months! He can get all over the house...but he prefers to be on my hip. It's probably the safest place with an excited 3 year-old big brother around :).

This is why I LOVE being at home. I get to witness scenes like this from my hallway. This was completely unstaged. He doesn't even know who Superman is, yet he seems to know just what to with the cape anyway.

I feel like the luckiest mom in the world. I love just being here with them - everyday.

There's something about "formal" pictures of my own kids that makes me just stare - I'm sure it's the same for every parent. I'm so in love with these little boys. It's such a sweet and precious time in our family right now. Every moment and every giggle seems unreal. I really am living the life I pictured in my dreams growing up (only I was a better cook, hostess, and homemaker in those dreams ...lol). I hope I can continue to grow as a person to better love on these guys.

We finally converted our stroller from a bassinet to sitting up! It was long overdue and he is MUCH happier with this arrangment. It's always good when you don't have to push the stroller AND hold the baby on your hip half-way through a walk. I remember the same scene with his brother :).

My tiny valentine! Somehow we got him sitting up long enough for a picture :). He's four months-old! Both of the boys shirts were made by Grandma - they definitely somehow make the day extra special!

We waited until Tyson came home to go through his bag - wasn't planned, but just happened that way. I love having a preschooler to share holidays with - I just want to treasure every moment. Happy Valentine's Day to my three boys!!!
